Rick Veitch was part of the the Joe Kubert School's first graduating class in 1978 and began his professional career in mainstream comics contributing over a dozen short stories to DC's OUR ARMY AT WAR. Rick's work appeared in Heavy Metal magazine and contributed regularly to Marvel's Epic Magazine, which published his first collaboration with Alan Moore in its final issue. Rick was highly active in the 1980's drawing issues of SWAMP THING, Nexus, Scout and Miracleman. He became regular penciller of SWAMP THING and collaborated for a year and a half with Alan Moore on a critically acclaimed run on the title before taking over as writer. In 1993, Veitch again collaborated with Moore, Bissette and Totleben on the 1963 comic series from Image Comics. In the late 1990's Rick worked with Alan Moore on the launch of the AMERICA'S BEST COMICS line. He and Moore created Greyshirt for the anthology comic TOMORROW STORIES before spinning it off into GREYSHIRT: INDIGO SUNSET. He is currently writing and illustrating the critically acclaimed monthly series, ARMY@LOVE with Gary Erskine.
