A spotlight series starring a different hero in each story arc, DC UNIVERSE PRESENTS will be getting a new creative team with issue #9. Following the conclusion of the science-fiction based CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN, the new story arc begins when the nation’s best FBI profiler, Kass Sage, must reach out to her father for help in solving a desperate case. The twist? Her father is the imprisoned serial killer, Vandal Savage.

Last Friday, COMIC BOOK RESOURCES and Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles hosted a wrap party for the first month of DC COMICS-THE NEW 52. The writers and artists in attendance included Brian Buccellato, Bernard Chang, Mike Costa, Dan DiDio, Josh Fialkov, Sterling Gates, Adam Glass, Kyle Higgins and Scott Lobdell. I dunno how many of you have sisters, but when mine was a teenager, she was, as they say, hell on wheels. Always getting into trouble, always getting into fights (usually more with her friends than with her enemies), always managing to outthink authority figures (be they cops or parents), always hanging with a questionable crowd, always a new piercing or tattoo – just drama at every turn, and usually of her own making. Nowadays she’s a morally upright citizen. She’s got a dog and a cat, a boyfriend and she even just completed jury duty! But back then? Hell. On. Wheels.

DC Entertainment’s Road To SDCC: Drawing Demonstrations Schedule

Throughout the course of San Diego Comic-Con, be sure to stop by the DC Entertainment booth to see some of your favorite artists doing drawing demonstrations on stage. Artists Jim Lee, Francis Manapul, Cully Hamner, David Finch, Mark Buckingham, Rafael Albuquerque, Chris Burnham, Nicola Scott, Bernard Chang, Jill Thompson, Art Baltazar and Franco will be inviting fans into their artistic processes as they show them how they draw all the art you see in comic books every Wednesday.
