A spotlight series starring a different hero in each story arc, DC UNIVERSE PRESENTS will be getting a new creative team with issue #9. Following the conclusion of the science-fiction based CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN, the new story arc begins when the nation’s best FBI profiler, Kass Sage, must reach out to her father for help in solving a desperate case. The twist? Her father is the imprisoned serial killer, Vandal Savage.
Fan-favorite artist Marcus To will be joining writer Judd Winick on BATWING, beginning with issue #9 in May. To is currently illustrating the six-issue HUNTRESS miniseries, which follows the international adventures of the extended Bat-family through Italy. With BATWING, he’ll be bringing his distinctive style to the heroic exploits of David Zavimbe in Africa’s Democratic Republic of Congo.
Acclaimed novelist Gregg Hurwitz will be taking over as the writer for BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT beginning with issue #10 in June. Hurwitz is the internationally bestselling author of YOU'RE NEXT. No stranger to the shadows of Gotham City, he is also currently writing PENGUIN: PAIN AND PREJUDICE, a five issue mini-series which explores the dark and peculiar past of one of Batman’s most iconic rogues.

Here’s a round up of the exclusive previews from this week’s DC COMICS-THE NEW 52 releases, on sale tomorrow. USA TODAY has a sneak peek at RED LANTERNS #6. "I really liked the idea of taking these monsters, who are normally portrayed as wild forces of destruction, and really getting under their skin, finding out what made them rage and where their rage might lead them (and) making them individual," series writer Peter Milligan said of the Red Lantern Corps.
It was announced earlier today that Jeff Lemire will be writing JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK. Well, Jeff is super talented, but writing four ongoing series is a tough gig, so he’ll be leaving FRANKENSTEIN: AGENT OF S.H.A.D.E. and taking over for him is one of his favorite collaborators, Matt Kindt.
