The Flash: Team Kid Flash No More?

The Flash Season 4 started out with a huge upgrade for Wally West. Earth One’s second most iconic speedster had to very suddenly go from the supporting legacy character of Kid Flash to the leader of the team. The “Team Kid Flash” jokes from both Wally and Cisco were some of my favorites, and I’m still hoping that one of them sports a team t-shirt at some point. Tonight in “Luck Be a Lady,” there was a pretty conspicuous absence of the second good guy speedster to grace this Earth.

The Flash: Greetings from Gorilla City

Gorilla Grodd has not only been a longstanding staple of the Flash’s comic book mythology—he first appeared in THE FLASH #106 in May 1959—but is also an important staple of The Flash television show, having appeared once a year since the first season. In tonight’s episode, “Attack on Gorilla City,” we finally get to see where Grodd went at the end of last season—Gorilla City on Earth-2!

Arrow: We're Back, Baby!

Welcome back, guys!

Hope everyone had a nice break. I’m trying to thaw out from the frigid Midwest cold and ice, but ready to bring this column to you.

I guess the best place to start would be with the obvious: Laurel!

Errr… fake Laurel, that is.

I sort of thought something was up when we saw her at the end of last episode. Part of me believed it could really be her, but another (bigger) part of me knew it had to be some kind of work.

The Flash: Will the Real Flash Please Stand Up?

“Monster” introduced viewers to the third version of Harrison Wells in three seasons—H.R.! Okay, technically, we met him in “New Rogues” —last week’s episode—but this was the first full episode where we had a chance to get a real sense of what H.R. Wells is all about. He’s the goofy idea man standing in stark contrast to his Earth-2 counterpart, Harry. So far it seems like Earth-19 (where H.R. hails from), is the most fun Earth in the CW Multiverse!

The Flash of Two Worlds: Building Earth-2

Adapting an established comic book character for the small screen is challenging enough, so what’s it like adapting an entire world of them? Difficult, but if tonight’s new episode of The Flash is any indication, it’s also a crazy amount of fun.
