With the release of today’s eleven new Convergence titles, we’ve reached the climactic final week of this unprecedented world-shattering—sorry, make that worlds-shattering comic book event. With all of reality unraveling, it’ll fall on a collective of heroes from all eras and avenues of the DC Universe to do what they can to save our existence. Will they be able to do it? What sort of universe will await us when it’s all over?
All month long we’ve been releasing sneak peeks of our June comics. You can look for most of them in the back of our Convergence titles and right here on DCComics.com. However, three of these sneak peeks first ran in DIVERGENCE, the special title we released for Free Comic Book Day on May 2nd, and haven’t appeared on the DC Comics website…until now. Below, you can read original, eight-page standalone stories for Batman, Superman and Justice League. These aren't excerpts from the June issues—these are original short stories that set up what awaits you next month. Enjoy!
There are big changes ahead for our Batman books, and if you’ve read BATMAN #40 and DIVERGENCE #1, you know what we’re referring to. It’s one of the reasons we held a special Twitter Q & A with Batman writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo on Friday—to help you get some answers about what lies ahead for Gotham’s greatest hero and for the star creative team who are responsible for his latest adventures. But if you missed out, don’t worry.
We all have our favorite comic book artists. They’re the ones with a style that breathes new life and energy into familiar characters, making you feel like you’re experiencing them for the first time. They transform their comic into a work of art that stands out from the other books on the racks, all while also speaking to you on a personal level, making your reaction and enjoyment of their work a truly unique experience.
For DC Collectibles and DC Collectors, the past few years have been pretty great. Not only are we producing a more diverse and all encompassing selection of statues and action figures than ever before, but we’ve done it while really getting to know our fans, both at conventions and on our Facebook page.
SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read BATMAN #35 yet and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).
From the superstar creative team that brought you a new start to the Caped Crusader comes the story that could end the Dark Knight. The biggest, deadliest and most epic story yet from writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo – “Batman: Endgame” begins here!
