New York Comic-Con has begun and the atmosphere is electric. (Or maybe that’s just the free WiFi provided by LexCorp.) Fans are flocking to the DC Entertainment booth to get a glimpse at the three amazing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice costumes that are on display, and to get their comics signed and their sketchbooks sketched by some of their favorite DC and Vertigo writers and artists. And speaking of Vertigo, their panel is tonight. Wonder what might be revealed there…
It may be the last day of New York Comic-Con, but if you thought we were about to slow down, think again. After all, today’s our DC Digital panel, where we’ll be looking at what’s new in the world of digital first comics, as well as Warner Bros. Television's sure-to-be-epic Gotham panel. By the way, you know you can demo Infinite Crisis and the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham in our booth, right? Sounds like the perfect way to end the show!
Saturdays at New York Comic-Con are always huge, and today is no exception. Batman fans are in for a once-in-a-lifetime treat as DC hosts a special Batman 75th Anniversary panel featuring Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Jim Lee, Geoff Johns, Neal Adams and Kevin Conroy. That’s followed later in the day by a can’t-miss Women of DC Entertainment panel featuring a lineup that’s nothing short of a dream team of talented female writers and artists.
Rakish, cunning and possessing a tie to the supernatural world that’s brought them nothing but pain. Sound familiar? Yes, we could be talking about John Constantine, the “hero” of the upcoming NBC series Constantine and the DC and Vertigo comics from which it draws its inspiration. But we could just as easily be referring to Mary “Zed” Martin, the vision-prone artist embodied on the show by actress Angélica Celaya.
