We wouldn’t be true to the New York spirit if we did this episode small!
When new weekly series THE NEW 52: FUTURES END was announced last month via the ASSOCIATED PRESS, not many details were revealed. Fans learned that characters Batman Beyond, Frankenstein and Firestorm, would be involved and that the story would take place 5 years from the current DC Universe storyline.
As the holidays arrive and the year comes to a close, we thought we’d take a look back at 2013 and commemorate some of the moments that really stood out in the world of DC Entertainment in a two-week DCComics.com series we’re calling “Ten Moments that Mattered.” Some of these moments were happy. Some were sad. They played out in the pages of our comics, on the big and small screen and in the halls of our office. However, all of them made a profound difference in the world of DC Comics and in the hearts and minds of our fans.
Yesterday, DC ENTERTAINMENT announced THE NEW 52: FUTURES END will be one of their Free Comic Book Day titles for 2014. In addition, TEEN TITANS GO! #1 will be available at participating comic shops across the country for children of all ages.
So get ready for Free Comic Book Day 2014, which takes place the first Saturday of May!
Today, the ASSOCIATED PRESS announced that DC Comics will be publishing a
new weekly comic book series titled THE NEW 52: FUTURES END. Written by
Jeff Lemire, Dan Jurgens, Keith Giffen and Brian Azzarello THE NEW 52:
FUTURES END is set five years in the future.
Launching in stores across the country on Free Comic Book Day in May 2014,
this series will be accessible to current fans and new readers alike.
When it comes to defying expectations, look no further than Vertigo.
A mature readers imprint of DC Comics, Vertigo has long upheld a standard of mind-bendingly awesome storytelling with such award-winning classics like V for Vendetta, Hellblazer, Preacher, 100 Bullets, Fables, Y: The Last Man, Neil Gaiman's Sandman (all of which easily rank as some of our favorite comic series of all time), and so much more.
Today, DC Comics debuted a 30 second commercial for the BEFORE WATCHMEN Deluxe Editions with the NEW YORK POST.
The commercial, featuring artwork from the acclaimed stories by some of the best writers and artists in the industry will begin airing on cable stations this week.
But that's not all, it will also be running on the Jumbotron in Times Square beginning July 16th!
