Someone as cultured as Bruce Wayne surely appreciates the work of the masters—Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.
The turtles, not the artists. Though we suppose the artists were pretty good too.
Nearly thirty years ago, Frank Miller introduces us to an older, far more wizened Batman late in his career. But the newest Dark Knight project, Dark Knight Returns: The Last Crusade, will take us back to over ten years before this classic work, when Batman was still actively fighting crime with his previous Robin, Jason Todd, at his side, revealing the previously untold story of how Jason met his end in Frank Miller’s Dark Knight universe and featuring the first appearance of Miller’s Joker since his death in The Dark Knight Returns.
Next year, Frank Miller’s THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS celebrates its 30th Anniversary. Yes, it’s been three decades since we first met Carrie Kelley and Commissioner Yindel and watched Batman grapple in the grime with the Mutant Leader. With a new Dark Knight miniseries about to hit the stands, we’re certainly not letting this milestone pass unobserved and our cohorts in DC Collectibles are excited to get in on the fun.
We’re still a few weeks away from the debut of DARK KNIGHT III: THE MASTER RACE (on sale 11/25), but that doesn’t mean we’re gonna stop whetting your appetites with more from the upcoming chapters in this highly anticipated saga!
