Ten Moments that Mattered: Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns

The holidays are upon us and another year is in the books. But before we move on to the excitement of next year, we wanted to take some time to look back at 2015 and to reminisce about a few of the great things it brought to the world of DC Entertainment. Whether it was a remarkable development inside one of our comics, a cool, game-changing twist that played out on the screen, or a real-life change that will impact the comics, movies, TV shows, toys and games that you’ll be seeing from us in the future, this year had no shortage of moments that stood out.

Ten Moments That Mattered: DC Super Hero Girls Debut

Superman: American Alien: ComicPOP Discusses Issue #2

By now, we’re hoping you’ve had a chance to check out and subscribe to our new DC Fans YouTube channel. We’re also hoping you’ve been reading SUPERMAN: AMERICAN ALIEN, the compellingly different new Superman series by screenwriter Max Landis (Chronicle, Victor Frankenstein). But if not, our friends over at ComicPOP are here to make a good case for both.

Batman v Superman: A New Look at the Trinity

The holidays are the time of gift giving, and we just got a great one from the three stars of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We all saw Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in action in the latest Batman v Superman trailer, but today Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot shared the newest trio of character posters through their social media accounts.

Did you miss them? Well, never fear, you can see all three below. Check them out!

Cool as a Cat: An Interview with Supergirl's Calista Flockhart

Who says you need to be kind to be inspirational? Certainly not Cat Grant, the National City media mogul played to perfection by Calista Flockhart on Supergirl. As the C.E.O. of CatCo, Cat runs her company with the precision of a stiletto heel. She demands perfection of her employees and is quick and easy with the pointed remarks and threats of termination when she doesn’t get it. But harsh as they may be, her methods work.

Keeping Supergirl Grounded: An Interview with Supergirl's Chyler Leigh

And she thought her life was complicated with one alien coworker…

As the human sister of the show’s titular hero, it would have been easy for Supergirl’s Alex Danvers to have been relegated to plotlines revolving around family drama and romance and to serve as an easy damsel-in-distress for Kara. So kudos to both the show’s producers and actress Chyler Leigh for not going the traditional route and instead crafting a non-superpowered character who is every bit her sister’s equal.

For the Winn: An Interview with Supergirl's Jeremy Jordan

While Winn Schott may reside in the loneliest corner (at least, for now!) of Supergirl’s love triangle, he contributes far more than a wistful smile. He created her awesome suit and regularly provides tech support when she’s unable or unwilling to depend on the D.E.O. In short, he’s the best friend that a young super-powered alien trying to find her heroic way could have.

Red-Eyed Redemption: An Interview with Supergirl's David Harewood

Monday’s new episode of Supergirl featured a depowered Kara, a take-charge James Olsen and an alien adversary with a surprisingly rich comic book history, but the biggest shock of all had nothing to do with Supergirl herself, but with the mysterious Hank Henshaw...
