5.2 Reasons to Love Lois Lane

This year marks a very special occasion: the 75th Anniversary of one of DC Comics' flagship characters, a character recognizable the world over, a character that to this day remains one of the most important characters in comics. We are, of course, talking about the brilliant reporter Lois Lane. Who, can we say, looks great for 75. It's almost like she hasn't aged a day in all that time.

5.2 Reasons to Delve into DC Comics Digital First

There's a new age upon us: an age of technology. An age where computers and tablets and smartphones have allowed us to advance as a species further than we could ever imagine. Seriously, we can take pictures of our food and share them with the world. We can tell people EXACTLY what we're doing. We can even make short six-second videos of anything we want—no matter how unnecessary or completely insane it may seem.

5.2 Reasons We Love Aaron Kuder

This week's issue of Action Comics #25 marks the start of a new era for the Man of Steel by welcoming the new creative team of writer Greg Pak and artist Aaron Kuder. We've long been fans of Pak—both in terms of his creative output but also just as a person. So, having him working on essentially the most recognizable comic book character in the world is super awesome and exciting. The addition of Kuder only sweetens the already sugary delicious deal.

5.2 Reasons We Can't Wait to Play Batman: Arkham Origins

For the last few days, we've been held up in our rooms watching a clock count down to midnight, Friday, October 25—surviving on Twizzlers, nachos and pizza (the three healthiest meals known to man) and eagerly awaiting the moment we can race out to the nearest store and purchase our copy of Batman: Arkham Origins.

We were right in the middle of suiting up into our custom Batman costume when the Powers That Be reminded us that we had to deliver our weekly installment of everyone's favorite column 5.2 Reasons (just... just let us have that).

5.2 Reasons We're Ready to Re-Enter the World of Sandman

Hello, DCComics.com and VertigoComics.com readers! Today’s edition of “5.2 Reasons” is so huge that we’re publishing it on both websites. Why? Well, in case you didn’t know, we’re currently in the midst of celebrating The Sandman on VertigoComics.com with a month-long promotion called “25 Days of Sandman,” and frankly, we wanted in on that bad boy.

5.2 Reasons Scribblenauts Unmasked – A DC Comics Adventure is Adorable Awesomeness

If there are two things we at DC Comics love, it's our vast and awesome array of characters and adorableness. If we’ve got a third, it'd be pie. We love us some pie. However, as it stands for the purposes of this column, we're going with the two: characters and adorableness. Which is why things like the Funko Pop! figures and plush toys drive us so insane with glee even the Joker would be like, "Okay. Calm it down there, buddy." Then he'd stab us. Obviously.

5.2 Reasons Shazam! is Pure Magic

When you're a kid, growing up is the last thing you want to do.

Actually, growing up is the last thing we want to do too, and we still remember when the original Tim Burton Batman was in theaters

(::collapses onto table and weeps uncontrollably::)

However, given the chance to say a magic word and instantly become an adult with superpowers? You don't need the Wisdom of Solomon to know what our answer would be. SHAZAM!
