5.2 Reasons You Should be Aware of "Beware the Batman"

This Saturday marks the premiere of the latest addition to the DC Nation block of animated programming on Cartoon Network—the brand-new “Beware the Batman!”

Excited to see the show and bring you guys the nitty-gritty, we bypassed Wayne Enterprises security measures, broke into the Batcave, hid behind the Giant Penny, snuck past Alfred during his dusting rounds, got distracted and fooled around with the Dark Knight’s various gadgets, gizmos and Batarangs, and hacked the Batcomputer in order to nab an advanced copy of the first episode.

5.2 Reasons that Superman is Flying High

If you’ve been frequenting the DC Comics website recently, you may have noticed that there’s been a lot of coverage regarding a certain super-powered Kryptonian with incredible strength and durability, a Man of Steel, if you will.

It’s like we’re the Daily Planet up in here with all this Superman stuff, amirite? Which, really, why would we not want to be the Daily Planet? They’ve got the best reporters, exclusives regarding super-heroes, and a guy who is simply committed to bringing back the bowtie in a non-ironic fashion.

5.2 Reasons Batman: Zero Year Already Excites

Like Marty McFly, Kyle Reese, and Wyld Stallyns Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan, we’re going back in time as the critically acclaimed creative team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo takes readers to the early days of the Dark Knight with the near yearlong epic, Batman: Zero Year.

The 11-part storyline began with the June 12 release of Batman #21, and as usual with Snyder and Capullo, it already has us as hooked as the mid-90s Aquaman.

5.2 Reasons Man of Steel Is Everything We Wanted and More

When working in a business setting—even when that business entails publishing comic books featuring the World’s Greatest Super Heroes—one must usually hold to certain level of professionalism. We try not to geek out too much (we said try) even though sometimes we simply can’t help ourselves. That all said:

5.2 Reasons to Keep Exploring the Green Lantern Universe

A few weeks ago, the creative teams behind the Green Lantern titles all metaphorically retired from the Corps with the release of their respective series’ 20th issue (that said, once a Lantern, always a Lantern).

However, like the rings of the Corps themselves, worthy successors have been chosen to carry on the tradition set before them and to guide the Green Lantern Universe to new and exciting heights filled with crazy adventure, dangerous villains, and characters both old and new.

5.2 Reasons to Explore the Villainous Side of Batman: The Dark Knight

They say that a hero is only as good as his villain—which is arguably what makes Batman so dang amazing. After all, let’s face it, the Dark Knight holds, hands down, the most infamous and recognizable Rogues Gallery in the history of comic books.

From the Joker, the Riddler and Catwoman to Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Two-Face, to Penguin, Scarecrow and oh so many more, the ill-famed inmates of Arkham, the criminally capricious citizens of Gotham both frighten and fascinate comic fans of all ages with their complexity, depth and completely insanely bazonkers gimmicks.

5.2 Reasons to Join Suicide Squad

Sometimes you need to be bad to do good—and when it comes to being bad, the criminal members of the Suicide Squad are about as bad as they come.

As villains forced to take on missions in order to shave time off their incredibly long prison sentences, the Suicide Squad is a volatile group by its nature. Throw in members like the deranged Harley Quinn, the sadistic Unknown Soldier, the insanely deadly King Shark, and more, and you’re looking at a situation more explosive than a Michael Bay film.
