Well, we’ve reached the last month of 2013, and the holidays are upon us. But over here at DC Collectibles, we’re not big on waiting until December 25th to unwrap our gifts. That’s why we’re bringing Spoiler Alert back to DCComics.com for a special December edition. It’s like unwrapping a cool new gift months before it’s even in stores. Only the unwrapping takes about a week and we don’t exactly make it easy for you. (Sorry. We’re Scroogey like that.)
Guess what? It’s a brand new month! And guess what else?
Well, that’s the whole point of Spoiler Alert. We show you a heavily redacted photo of a brand new, not yet announced product from DC Collectibles and you try to guess what it is. It’s fun! It’s challenging! It’s a great cure to that Wednesday afternoon funk! It’s… It’s…
WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!?!
They say March goes out like a lamb, and if that’s true, then apparently lambs are big fans of DC Collectibles. (Who knew?) Starting today, and for the rest of the month, we’ll be unveiling an upcoming, as-yet-unannounced product from DC Collectibles through a series of photos on our Facebook page. And if you thought the term “March Madness” had to do with basketball, then clearly you’ve never experienced Spoiler Alert because these photos are heavily obscured and shot up close and very personal.
What do you call a month with two DC Collectibles Spoiler Alerts in it? We call it February.
A few weeks ago, we gave you a fast and furious Spoiler Alert that offered up an early look at one of our upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us action figures, before we announced a full line-up at Toy Fair. This time, we’re giving you a look at…well…
Welcome back to Spoiler Alert, our monthly feature where we tease a cool new, as-yet-unannounced product from DC Collectibles and then invite you to try to guess what it is. Sound simple? Then clearly you haven’t tried it yet. Not only are our images close-up shots of often indistinct details, but we redact the heck out them and slap the Spoiler Alert logo on top of key sections of the photograph. And this time, it’ll be even more difficult because you’ll only have a day to figure it out.
It’s a new year, which means it’s the perfect time for a new edition of Spoiler Alert!
Actually, around these parts, we believe every day is a perfect day for Spoiler Alert. But the fact that this is the first Spoiler Alert of 2013 makes this installment worthy of something special, and we think we have a really cool new collectible to reveal to you…one heavily redacted, closely photographed image at a time.
It’s a little early for Christmas gifts, but we thought we’d give you a little surprise this week anyhow. And no, it’s not leftover turkey. Though you’re more than welcome to help yourself to that as well—we’ve had more than enough. You know, if Batman really wanted to chase criminals out of Gotham, all he’d have to do is run after them with a tray of turkey sandwiches a week after Thanksgiving.
We promised treats for our fans today, but we never said they’d all take the form of scary new comics! Today is Wednesday, which here on DCComics.com is also our day to bring you something new from the folks at DC Collectibles. As for what that something new is…well, you’re going to have to tell us.
It’s the first Wednesday of a fresh new month, and DC fans worldwide are heading to their favorite comic stores (or hopping online to the DC Digital Comics Store) to pick up this week’s new titles. But a wise man once said that fans cannot live on comics alone, and we like to live by that philosophy here on DCComics.com. So to offer you a little bit of variety on this lovely new comic book day, we’re kicking off a brand new edition of DC Collectibles’ Spoiler Alert.
Wednesday means a lot of different things around here. It’s our day for new comic books, a new SDCC giveaway in THE SOURCE and of course the infamous Sloppy Joe Special at the diner down the street. But starting today, Wednesday is also your day for something fun from DC Collectibles. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be unveiling a series of cool new features every Wednesday here on DCComics.com—all different and all geared to get you excited about some of the great new action figures, statues and busts in shops or on the horizon from DC Collectibles.
