Who doesn’t like free comics? Certainly no one that we know if the tweets and photos that hit Twitter and Instagram this Saturday are any indication. Some of you celebrated Free Comic Book Day 2015 by dressing up as your favorite hero or villain (that’s a pretty awesome Wonder Woman, @TheComicSource), while others got sketches and autographs from your favorite comic writers and artists.
The World’s Fastest Man is celebrating his 75th Anniversary this year, and clearly you’re eager to get in on the action. After posting DC All Access’s 75th Anniversary tribute video on Friday (which you should definitely go watch, if you haven’t seen it), we took to Twitter to ask fans to share some of their favorite Flash moments and memories—and you certainly didn’t disappoint! When it comes to the Scarlet Speedster, it’s clear we’re not the only ones who are fast fans.
On Monday, we kicked off a weeklong celebration in honor of our (now over) one million Twitter followers. As a part of that celebration, we asked you to tweet your favorite DC moment from 2014 using the #DC1Million hashtag, and you certainly didn’t disappoint. Your tweets made us smile, made us laugh, made us think and made us very, very excited about what’s ahead in 2015.
We thought we’d share a few of the best with you. Enjoy and as always, thanks for reading, watching… and tweeting!
If you've ever wanted to become a DC comic book character, there's no better night to do it than on Halloween. Whether it's with an officially licensed costume, a costume of your own design, or a cleverly carved pumpkin, DC Comics and Halloween just seem to go together like candy and kids. Earlier this week, we asked all of you on Twitter to tweet us your super heroic Halloween photos using the hashtag #DCHalloween. Here's some of what you shared with us...
Superman has defeated villains like Lex Luthor and Brainiac, survived his home planet’s destruction and kept ours safe from harm for over eighty years. Batman has defeated armies of undead assassins, kept some of the most destructive criminals in check and fought otherworldly threats alongside the Justice League—and he does all this without super powers.
And yet, neither of them could have achieved their most recent accomplishments on their own. They needed each and every one of you.
