Witness The New 52 origin of The Dark Knight in BATMAN: ZERO YEAR from its initial sketches!
This fall, Barbara Gordon will be getting her own Zero Year makeover.
Around fifteen or sixteen-years-old at the time of her tie-in issue, Barbara Gordon is forced to protect her brother and homestead in anticipation of the upcoming storm. It’s here that she’ll not only be forced to evaluate what “home” really means to her, but where she’ll realize for the first time that she has the potential to be a hero in her own right.
Moments ago at San Diego Comic-Con, DC Entertainment’s BATMAN: ZERO YEAR panel let out. Among the panel’s many highlights, all-new art from the acclaimed story arc was shown.
But if you were not able to attend the panel, don’t worry! Check out the gallery above to see the new art that debuted, including interior pages from BATMAN #23 and the cover for BATMAN #25!

Like Marty McFly, Kyle Reese, and Wyld Stallyns Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan, we’re going back in time as the critically acclaimed creative team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo takes readers to the early days of the Dark Knight with the near yearlong epic, Batman: Zero Year.
The 11-part storyline began with the June 12 release of Batman #21, and as usual with Snyder and Capullo, it already has us as hooked as the mid-90s Aquaman.
Next month, witness the rise of the Dark Knight like never before.
Kicking off this June, BATMAN: ZERO YEAR is an epic and grand 11-issue arc that chronicles the untold details of Batman’s origin story within DC COMICS-THE NEW 52. From the #1 New York Times bestselling creative team of writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo, Zero Year takes flight in BATMAN #21.
