“One of the reasons I love working with Gene [Ha] is that besides being an enormously talented artist, he also truly invests himself into the material he works on. Spore is a modern monster based on the ongoing threat of bio-warfare, and Gene clearly had a blast designing him and his flesh-eating Seed creatures. What’s poignant about Spore is that his predicament is a subtle metaphor for the heart of issue #7’s overall story.
