Summer’s just getting started, but here on DCComics.com, we’re already counting down the days till fall. Why’s that? Well, last week we announced DC COMICS - THE NEW 52 “0” Month. This week, we gave you an idea of what you can expect from each “0” issue this September. We also gave you a look at some variant covers, showed off some fun new flash drives and celebrated the release of BATMAN – DETECTIVE COMICS VOL. 1: FACES OF DEATH by sharing some sketchbook pages.

Here’s what went down this week on the DC Comics website…

We started things off with our monthly group solicits. However, this was no ordinary month of titles we were soliciting—this was September, otherwise known as DC Comics - The New 52 “0” Month. In addition to dropping some juicy details about what you can expect and announcing four new ongoing titles, we also showed off some nifty new promotional art. Check out the September solicits for each of our groups:

Justice League

Batman

Superman

Green Lantern

The Dark

The Edge

Young Justice

Beyond DC Comics – The New 52

and Before Watchmen

It’s always difficult to follow up group solicits, but we think these variant covers for BATMAN #11, BEFORE WATCHMEN: MINUTEMEN #2 and THE SHADE #10 can more than hold their own.

Most of us will probably never know what it’s like to be saved by a super hero, but now we can know what it’s like to have our digital data saved by one. Check out the latest DC Comics MIMOBOT flash drives. They can be real lifesavers.

And finally, last September we relaunched Detective Comics, our flagship title, for the first time in company history. This month marks the release of its first trade collection, Faces of Death, and we celebrated with a three-day spotlight that showed off some of the hardcover’s bonus content. Check out day one, day two and…you’d better believe it…day three!

Okay, we may be excited for next fall, but we’re not about to let summer go to waste. Have a great weekend of sun and fun, and we’ll see you again in seven.
