If you’re a DC Comics fan, weeks rarely get bigger than this one.
Okay, we realize we say that a lot around here. In fact, if you had a dime for each time we have, you’d probably have enough to snag that copy of ABSOLUTE BATMAN AND ROBIN we know that you’ve been eyeing. But in a week that includes the release of two extra-sized, can’t-miss new annuals, some of our most exciting new releases are literally bigger than our average comics. Trust us, you’re not going to want to miss BATMAN AND ROBIN ANNUAL #1 and the crucial GREEN LANTERN CORPS ANNUAL #1, which wraps up “Rise of the Third Army.” (And while we’re on the topic, can we just take a moment to lift our hats to the wonderful Peter J. Tomasi, who scripted both of them? Nice work, sir!) Of course, there’s much to enjoy outside our annuals as well, including the latest Before Watchmen outing, BEFORE WATCHMEN: DOLLAR BILL #1, and JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #16, which features the winning character from last week’s “DC Comics Challenge” on Syfy’s Face Off. There’s also “Throne of Atlantis” in AQUAMAN #16, “HE’l on Earth” in SUPERMAN #16, the debut of a new villain in THE FLASH #16, the print debut of INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US #1 and a brand new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe origin tale one-shot, written by Joshua Hale Fialkov and drawn by Ben Oliver!
