Since its launch in September of 2011, WONDER WOMAN has chronicled the Amazonian’s adventures with an unforgettable supporting cast chocked full of gods and goddesses from classic Greek mythology. If you’ve already picked up your copy of WONDER WOMAN #18 (in stores today), you read the conclusion of the acclaimed series’ current story arc. So with a brand new arc kicking off next month, what’s on deck for Diana and Co. in issue #19?

“We are telling a long-form story here, but this is a good place if you want to jump on,” Eisner Award winning series writer Brian Azzarello told IGN. “We're gonna see some major upheavals in the world that we have created for her. This is a great place to get a front row seat and watch it happen. The character we have been building with the First Born, he will come crashing in.”

“The next story arc is going to be a big one,” Azzarello continued to NEWSARAMA. “We are just getting started with First Born. You can tell something big's going to happen between him and her, right? He is going to have a major, major impact on her family … She hasn't changed enough yet. She's got some more changes. I think the changes have worked really well, but we're not done. It's part of the plan … She's actually leading a team now, which is something that's different for her. But obviously, things around her — the whole mythos — has changed.”

“Don't miss issue #19...I don't think Superman would approve,” the writer teased to COMIC VINE.
