If you’re a Batman fan, many of you comic book conversations this past month have likely revolved around the death of Damian Wayne. While we’ve been given glimpses of how the bat family is dealing with the death of the current Robin (or not dealing with it), we haven’t yet heard anything further from the writer or title responsible for the shocking turn of events. Not until now, at least. This Wednesday sees the release of BATMAN, INCORPORATED #9, the first issue of Batman, Incorporated since Damian’s death. While Damian’s story may be finished, the story Morrison set out to tell with Batman, Inc. is not, and this week we’ll get the next chapter in this tragic tale of feuding parents. Even better, you don’t have to wait till Wednesday to get your first sense of where things are going. Along with offering up an exclusive preview of issue #9, Buzzfeed had a few questions for Mr. Morrison about Damian and the current storyline, and the writer had some very interesting answers for them—perhaps the most resounding of which is, no, Damian won’t be back. Not in any story that he tells, at least.

Of course, that’s just the start of what you’ll find in on the physical and virtual comic racks this week. You’ll definitely want to take a look at Time Warp, the latest mind-bending sci-fi anthology from Vertigo. This one features stories by the likes of Damon Lindelof, Jeff Lemire, Gail Simone, Peter Milligan, Matt Kindt and Ray Fawkes, many with a time-travel slant. You can also look for another “Requiem” tale in TEEN TITANS #18, “Wrath of the First Lantern” in RED LANTERNS #18, the Mad Hatter in BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #18, the start of a kingdom-shattering new storyline in AQUAMAN #18, Vandal Savage in ALL-STAR WESTERN #18, and much, much more.
