Villains Month is here, and if you’ve seen our homepage today, you can tell that we’re pretty darn excited about it. Don’t get us wrong, we love our heroes. We want them to win. But the bad guys are just so much fun. You never know what to expect when it comes to our villains, so in a month where the villains have taken over all of our comics…well, the one thing we know we can expect is the unexpected!

Oh, and lots of jokes about “rounding up the villains” here in the Tuesday Roundup. You can expect that as well.

But let’s look at our first week of Villains Month. The Joker, Darkseid, Bizarro, Poison Ivy, Grodd, Relic… All of them get their close-ups this week, and while we usually wouldn’t suggest getting too close to someone like Darkseid, in this case it’s not only okay, but recommended.

One of the great things about Villains Month is that it offers an opportunity to explore areas of The New 52 that you may not currently be following. You don’t have to be up on events in Action Comics or Superman to read ACTION COMICS #23.1: CYBORG SUPERMAN or SUPERMAN #23.1: BIZARRO, which means this a great time to expand your monthly comic book horizons. However, no matter which corners of the DCU you tend to gravitate to, there’s one comic out this week that’s a must-read.

Forever Evil is the new crossover miniseries by Geoff Johns and David Finch that promises to redefine The New 52. If you read last week’s intense “Trinity War” finale, then you know that the super heroes of the world—along with regular folks like you and me—are in a lot of trouble. Evil’s about to run rampant, the stakes couldn’t be higher and with these guys writing and drawing, you know it’s all in very good hands. (Which is rather ironic for a series about evil, isn’t it?)

It’s safe to say that we’re all in for one wicked week. Check out the previews below…
