All week long we’ve been celebrating the ever popular Batman: The Animated Series here on DCComics.com. We’ve been shown all that went into creating the new line of action figures, asked a few Batman writers for their favorite episodes, heard from one of our DC All Access hosts on how the show changed her life, broke down how Batman: The Animated Series impacted the greater world of the Dark Knight and even spoke with the voice of Batman himself.
It’s all stellar stuff if you’re familiar with the show, but we realize that not everyone is. So if you haven’t seen it in a while—or haven’t seen it at all—now’s your chance to change that. We have three Batman: The Animated Series DVD sets to give away to three very lucky bat-fans. We’re talking both the original 1992 Batman: The Animated Series and the relaunched 1997 The New Batman Adventures, all compiled in one set of discs.
To win, we want you to bust out your best Bat-impression for a bit of cool “cape and cowling.” Not sure what that is? Well, you’re familiar with this iconic Batman: The Animated Series image, right?
We want you to recreate that pose as best you can and take a photo. We know, we know. Most people don’t have their own batsuit stashed in the back of their closet. Don’t worry, we have you covered (though if you do happen have your own Batman costume, feel free to use it). You can download a print-at-home cowl here. Print that out, grab a blanket for a cape and you should be good to go.
Once you’ve taken the photo, here’s what to do…
- If you’re not already doing so, follow DC Comics on Twitter.
- Tweet the photo between now and 11:59 p.m. PST on Monday, February 24. Be sure to use the hashtag #capeandcowling to have your entry counted.
That’s all there is to it! After the deadline, we’ll pick our three favorites and winners will be direct messaged on Twitter for their contact info. So be sure to check your direct messages! We’ll post the winning photos, and other fun entries, here in the DC Comics blog next week.
