Snyder, Murphy and Bellaire recognized with Eisner Awards!

Comic-Con International: San Diego is the home of the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, the comics industry's version of the Oscars.

The awards are named for Will Eisner and honor comics creators and works in 30 categories. Awards were handed out for best writer and artist, best new series and best single issue—among many others.

Yesterday evening at a ceremony at the Hilton Bayfront, the 26th annual Eisner Awards recognized writer Scott Snyder and artist Sean Murphy for their work on the now Eisner-Award-Winning comic book series THE WAKE! They also recognized Jordie Bellaire for her incredible coloring on Vertigo's TOM STRONG among many other comic books.
