The #DCTV Secrets of THE FLASH: Episode 1

What secrets did this cage hold?

How great was that premiere of The Flash!?  Here are this week’s #DCTV Secrets you might be asking about:

  • The question is whether or not Clyde Mardon is the Weather Wizard?
  • What's a Grodd?
  • Eddie Thawne transferred from Keystone.  Where's that?
  • Henry Allen is being held in Iron Heights.  Is that so bad?
  • Was that the Detective Chyre?

Whither the Weather Wizard?

Two Mardon brothers tried to escape in a plane during the freak lightning storm caused by S.T.A.R Labs.  Only one reappears, and he has the ability to control the weather, much like one of Flash’s famous rogues—the Weather Wizard.  But hold on.  Tonight’s villain was Clyde Mardon.  But isn’t Mark Mardon the real Weather Wizard?  We’ll have to wait and see which way this ill wind blows.

Find out more about the Weather Wizard in Final Crisis: Rogues’ Revenge.

A Hairy Situation?

An empty cage.  A nameplate with one word: Grodd.  And Flash fans know this means trouble...

Welcome to Keystone.  Wish You Were Here.

Think of Keystone as the St. Paul to Central City’s Minneapolis--a sister city, if you will.  It’s been part of the DC Universe for years.  A little rougher and tougher, perhaps.  And sometimes home to:

Iron Heights.  Wish You Weren’t Here.

The Penitentiary for some of the worst villains the Flash has ever faced.  Not a place for the faint of heart.  Unfortunately, it’s where Henry Allen is serving time for the murder of Barry’s mother.

And did you recognize the actor playing Henry Allen?  If you’re a #DCTV fan you should.  He played The Flash in the 1990-91 series!

We Hardly Knew Ye

Blink, and you missed him (because the Mardon brothers shot him!), but we still loved seeing Detective Chyre as Joe West’s partner.  Another veteran of Keystone, he’s been a long-time fixture in Flash stories.  RIP Detective?
