The Man, and The Woman.

On TV and in the comic books (specifically Hellblazer #4) that’s all he’s known as.  The Man.  In both versions, his compulsion for marrying child  brides is thwarted by Constantine.  In the comic book, The Man is a magician who draws John’s attention by abducting (and trying to marry) his niece.  In that storyline The Man is part of the Damnation Army, putting John between those fiends and their enemies, the Resurrection Army.

Incidentally, that very same issue also introduced another major player—Zed!

A really bad cop

Comic book fans know that Jim Corrigon is rejected from heaven because he is too corrupt—God sends him back to be his Spirit of Vengeance, known as The Spectre.  Up until know we’ve known that Jim had questionable morals.  Now we know he’s capable of murder.  And Constantine put him up to it.  Has John damned another soul?

What’s next for John?

All we know is that wherever there’s a threat from the Rising Darkness, John Constantine will be there.
