Don’t peek behind the mask if you don’t want to know any more.  But of course you do and you will.

A real commando.

Meet General Matthew Shrieve.  As the original movie Beastmaster, Marc Singer is an interesting choice for this character.  Why?  Because, at least in the comic books, Shrieve is the human leader of a group of monsters known as the Creature Commandos.  Since WWII, this team, which includes a werewolf, a vampire and Frankenstein’s monster has been fighting the good fight throughout the DCU.  Now whether we’ll see literal monsters on the streets of Starling City is another question entirely.

Remember the Shado

Slade still holds a torch for the Yakuza warrior known as Shado.  Although she is but a memory on the show, you can catch up on some of her adventures, and her comic book origins, in Green Arrow.
