DC and Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) bring the biggest names in comics to SXSW to talk 80 years of Superman, Action Comics #1000 and Krypton

All-Star Writers and Artists Jim Lee, Frank Miller, Dan Jurgens and Brian Michael Bendis Join the Creative Team Behind SYFY’s Upcoming Krypton Series at an Exclusive SXSW Panel at DC’s Pop-Up and Super Hero Experience

The first-ever DC Pop-Up and Super Hero Experience at SXSW sets the stage for an exclusive conversation showcasing Superman’s enduring impact on popular culture, coinciding with the 1000th issue of ACTION COMICS and the upcoming premiere of Krypton on SYFY. Comic book legend Frank Miller (SUPERMAN: YEAR ONE), award-winning writer and artist Dan Jurgens (THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN, ACTION COMICS), acclaimed artist and DC Publisher Jim Lee (SUPERMAN UNCHAINED) and the newest writer to join the DC roster, Brian Michael Bendis (ACTION COMICS #1000, MAN OF STEEL), were joined by the executive producer of the upcoming SYFY series Krypton, Cameron Welsh, and Krypton writers Lina Patel and Nadria Tucker.

Moderated by IGN Executive Editor Laura Prudom, the conversation also covered SYFY’s upcoming Superman special, Krypton: The Making of a Legend, celebrating the forthcoming series and the enduring legacy of Superman.
