Just in time for Halloween, Vertigo has compiled a slew of creepy stories that are primed to get you in the spirit! GHOSTS is an anthology of short stories showcasing both major talents and newcomers in the industry. Arriving in stores on October 31, this collection features a space heist on a ghost ship, a spirit who wants to play synthesizer in a techno band, a ghost-for-hire haunting agency and other dark and twisted tales best read under the sheets with a flashlight.

Over the past week we’ve been spotlighting a piece of art from several of the stories included in the collection. Today, in the final installment we’re spotlighting, “A Bowl of Red” written by Neil Kleid.

“It's been a long time since I did anything for Vertigo (one of the side effects of being a 'veteran' in an industry) so I was very pleased to be asked by the gorgeous Will Dennis to contribute to the first issue of a new anthology, said artist John McCrea. “When I got the script from the devastatingly handsome Neil Kleid I knew it was going to be a pleasure to sink my artistic teeth into. I called on the services of the sublimely beautiful Andrew Elder (to provide colour) and the resultant visual feast is served up in a piping hot bowl of horror by your chums at Vertigo- Happy Halloween.”
