The Roundup: A Double Dose of Doomed

Usually finding yourself doomed twice in the same week would be a cause for serious concern rather than celebration. But then again, none of us are Superman.

The Roundup: A Dizzying Selection From Vertigo

San Diego Comic-Con is now behind us, and DC Comics certainly had a successful show.

The Roundup: These Kids are All Right

Why should the adults have all the fun? While here at DCComics.com, we tend to think of characters like Kal-El, Bruce Wayne, Diana of Themyscira and Hal Jordan as ageless, they’re clearly well over the legal drinking age. And that’s fine.

The Roundup: Several Shades of Superman

If you were fearing that it’s all downhill for Superman comics after last week’s SUPERMAN #32, you may be living in the Bizarro world.

The Roundup: Beginnings and (Almost) Endings
Welcome aboard, John Romita, Jr!
The Roundup: Women Take the Week

Step aside, guys. In the world of DC Comics, this week belongs to the ladies.

The Roundup: The Beginning of Forever
We’re getting things started with a BOOM! as the debut issue of Infinity Man and the Forever People hits stands. Issue #1 begins in the far recesses of outer space, in the floating city of New Genesis, but it doesn’t take long for the action to rocket to earth. Sorry, that’s inaccurate. It doesn’t take long for the action to BOOM TUBE to earth.
The Roundup: Forever Comes to an End
Yes, it’s been a wicked ride, but Forever Evil, the seven-issue miniseries by Geoff Johns and David Finch, is finally coming to a close with an extra-sized finale that will shake The New 52 down to its very core. In fact, it’s so huge that the finale isn’t just limited to the pages of FOREVER EVIL #7, but JUSTICE LEAGUE #30 and JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #14 as well. Before Wednesday is done, we’ll know the fate of the Crime Syndicate as well as Lex Luthor’s “Injustice League.” But first, maybe we should recap…

As many of you know, this past Saturday was Free Comic Book Day, that beloved geek holiday when we celebrate comic books by giving a whole mess of them away for free.

The Roundup: Revelations, Resolutions and Goodbyes
Sometimes when the stakes are this huge and the scale this massive, twenty pages just isn’t enough. It’s fortunate, then, that we have our extra-sized Annuals. This week sees the release of four of them, some kicking off exciting new storylines, others offering explosive finales.
