Look, down in the ground, it’s…Boyzarro?!?
Since the launch of Rebirth in 2016, Patrick Gleason and Peter J. Tomasi have reinvigorated the Man of Steel through a series of powerful standalone stories in the pages of SUPERMAN. They’ve featured Lex Luthor, Eradicator, Apokolips and Mister Oz, among many others, but not Bizarro. Not until today’s SUPERMAN #42.
The holidays are upon us and another year is in the books. But before we move on to the excitement of next year, we wanted to take some time to look back at 2015 and to reminisce about a few of the great things it brought to the world of DC Entertainment. Whether it was a remarkable development inside one of our comics, a cool, game-changing twist that played out on the screen, or a real-life change that will impact the comics, movies, TV shows, toys and games that you’ll be seeing from us in the future, this year had no shortage of moments that stood out.
Last week, BIZARRO #1 hit the stands, kicking off a six-issue miniseries from Heath Corson and Gustavo Duarte that not only featured plenty of backwards hijinks, but a fertilizer convention, a hypnotic used car dealer with a thing for ancient Egypt and a (somewhat) friendly space chupacabra named Colin. It also featured the laugh-a-second dialog of writer Heath Corson, who recently answered a bunch of your questions in a fun Twitter Q & A. Oh, and did we mention that most of his answers were in Bizarro-speak?
