What’s New In The New 52: Mona Shard

Yesterday, we told you a little bit about Shun the Untouchable, a character in KATANA who you can expect to see a lot more of in the coming months.

As you may remember that in KATANA #4, Shun’s foot was cut off by Mona Shard. It was Mona’s belief that by removing Shuns’ foot, she would also be preventing the stories tattooed on her from coming true. Clearly, this is not a ghost-girl you’d want to babysit.

FLASHPOINT FRIDAY: “The Amazons have been streamrolling over the entire region. Guess it was only a matter of time before we got caught in the crossfire.”

A savage attack by the Amazons ends in Dick Grayson’s orphanhood. With Deadman now being the closest thing he has to a family, Dick will have to convince his friend to join him in the Resistance after a vigilante named Vertigo enlists their help. But why was the Graysons’ circus a target of an Amazonian attack? What do they have in their possession that’s worth so much and to what lengths will the Amazons go to attain it?

Eric Wallace talks "Family Reunions" and TITANS 30

"This issue is all about doors opening and closing. For Deathstroke, his mission to free the Mad Hatter and rescue Wavelength (Allegra Garcia) was a success, but his team trusts him less now that ever before. This forces him to open a very big door, literally. And it’s one whose secret was first hinted at back in Titans #24. What’s behind this door shakes up the Titans in a very big way, especially where the Tattooed Man is concerned.

Eric Wallace talks TITANS #28

TITANS’ “Family Reunions” storyline kicked off last week in #28. The issue gives us a peek into Deathstroke’s ultimate plan for the team, as well as revelations about the promise he made to each member. But what’s it like writing Slade and the gang? TITANS writer Eric Wallace has his answer:

Eric Wallace on TITANS #26

"With Roy back on drugs and haunted by Lian's death, he's fallen into an emotional abyss. Broken inside and making all sorts of bad decisions, he's now a perfect fit for these dark Titans. That's because these anti-villains are a team of broken, desperate people. Yes, things are going to get worse before they get a lot better. But ironically, it's Deathstroke's uber-mission that's going to help heal them. That is, if they all don't get killed first in the process." [gallery link="file"]
