Look, down in the ground, it’s…Boyzarro?!?
Well, Legends fans, here we are. Finale time.
Before we start this week, I just want to thank all of you for coming along on this adventure with me! It’s been an incredible (and incredibly eventful) season across the board and I’ve had an absolute blast getting to talk about it here every week. I hope you’re as excited as I am to see where Season 3 goes because...man, for all the solutions the team may have come up with this time around, they definitely have no shortage of new problems to tackle.
Well, Legends fans, the time is nearly upon us. This week represented the penultimate episode of this season and, man oh man, things are really, really not looking good.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent some time going over hypotheticals for the stories you like—anything from “what would have happened if a different character was the hero?” to, one of my favorites, “what would happen if the bad guys won?”
Welcome back, Legends fans! Talk about having to go there (and back again) this time around, huh? And, man, things are...not looking all that great for the future of the world.
I can’t say I’ve ever really thought about ways to make World War I bleaker than it already was, but losing the literal Holy Grail in the middle of the battlefield on the Somme is pretty effective, all things considered. But, hey, at least we got to hang out with J.R.R. Tolkien for a little bit while we were at it. That’s a definitely a silver lining if ever there was one.
So, the time has finally come. Our up close and personal look into the Legion of Doom is here and it’s...well, pretty intense, if I’m being honest. The Legion is anything but a well-oiled crime machine, but that’s to be expected, really, considering the desperation that pulled them all together.
And speaking of that desperation, let’s kick off this week by diving a little deeper into the source of Eobard’s fears: the Black Flash.
Welcome back from an especially brutal, cliffhanger-y hiatus, Legends fans! Hopefully you’re all well rested and ready to hit the ground running because this week certainly didn’t give us any time to catch our breath.
Are you ready? I sure hope so.
Welcome back, Legends fans! It’s been awhile! Hopefully you’ve had enough time to recover from last week’s “Invasion” before we hit the ground running tonight because, man alive, there is a ton to talk about.
With the Dominators out of the way, the Legion of Doom has rocketed to the forefront of the team’s agenda—and not a moment too soon because we’ve finally got some answers about their plans. Turns out Thawne has been recruiting people to go on a quest for the Spear of Destiny—a mythological artifact with all sorts of terrifying powers.
Welcome back, Legends fans! This week, our heroes managed to avoid prolonging the Cold War, so that’s certainly something. Good work all around, especially considering a few rogue elements (I’m looking at YOU, Young Dr. Stein) who seemed to bend over backwards to try and bring about nuclear war.
Welcome back from beautiful scenic Feudal Japan, Legends fans. Congratulations all around for not accidentally starting an international incident before America was even a nation at all. That would have been a really weird edit to make in the history textbooks.
But more importantly—talk about a whole lot of status quo shifting going on in an unplanned detour. We’ve got major changes for both Ray and Nate, a new mission care of Amaya and the JSA, a lead about a big secret Rip had been hiding from the crew, and an ominous message from a future Barry Allen. Phew.
And they thought they had their hands full with Vandal Savage! In today’s panel for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the producers of the hit CW series dropped some tantalizing hints for what lies ahead for the crew of the Waverider in Season 2.
