I liked tonight’s episode for a couple reasons:
- I’m a sucker for characters that aren’t as well known
- I’m intrigued (and kind of annoyed) by the different mindsets of Oliver and his recruits
But before I get into the latter, let’s talk a little bit about these “second rate” heroes-in-training: Wild Dog and Ragman.
Last week, we showed you an exclusive preview of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #14. In this special holiday issue, a rabbi explains the story of Chanukah to Batman and Ragman. To celebrate Chanukah kicking off at sundown today, enjoy another sneak peek at the issue below as we show how the rabbi’s retelling of the story is depicted in the issue.
It’s a special holiday issue of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD starring Ragman! With Chanukah around the corner, the season should be full of celebration and cheer. But yet, there are parts of Gotham City that are struggling harder than ever before.
As time runs out for Batman to rescue Dawn Golden from deep beneath Gotham City, the city above is at the mercy of the Demon possessing Ragman. And when The Penguin kidnaps innocent civilians and Commissioner Gordon begins to lose hope, will Batman’s efforts be enough to save the city from its demons? BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #3 is written and pencilled by David Finch, inked by Scott Williams and Richard Friend and hits stores on Wednesday. [gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="2"]
I get some guff around the office for being a bit of a Scrooge, but even I feel some warmth in my heart when flipping through the pages of the recently-released DCU HOLIDAY SPECIAL. So, because it's that time of year, we'll be presenting you with select tales from the issue as the holiday season hits. Check out this Ragman story, from writer Rob Levin and artist Brian Ching below, and happy holidays! [gallery link="file"]
