Anyone who’s survived the corridors of high school knows that it’s not easy being a kid, and parents can be a particular source of annoyance and embarrassment.
You might need to bear with me a bit on this one, folks.
A long time ago—my first blog, actually—I wrote about how I’m a newcomer to Arrow. As such, some of the references in episodes require me to do some (usually a lot) of research to connect the dots from other seasons.
After tonight, I found myself doing quite a bit of digging to understand who Malcolm Merlyn is and how he connects within the Arrowverse.
This past Monday, I popped dinner in the oven and flipped on the tube. I was looking to unwind from the daily grind. I did the standard channel surfing game for bit and decided to check out what I had saved on the old DVR.
To my delight, I had an episode of Comic Book Men. I don’t go much for the “reality” shows, but I dig this one—as I’m a fan of Kevin Smith and the View Askewniverse.
Oliver Queen has always had an interesting relationship with the al-Ghuls. He defeated Ra’s al Ghul and is technically married to Nyssa. So needless to say, we suspect his life will become a lot more complicated when the newest al Ghul makes her debut on the hit #DCTV show…
This Sunday is Mother’s Day, and hopefully by now you have your plans in place. We know what we’re doing over here. Brunch at Mom’s favorite restaurant, followed by an afternoon at the pool. Maybe, if the weather stays nice we’ll step out for ice cream before heading home to watch one of Mom’s soon-to-be-favorite movies—Son of Batman.
Valentine's Day is here once more, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Oh wait, no. The other thing. Depressed and lonely. Kidding! We're doing great. ::weeps into bowl of ice cream::
Please ignore the raggedness and puffy eyes. It’s... it’s been a rough 24 hours following the events of yesterday’s BATMAN INCORPORATED #8. For those of you who missed it, we suggest you check it out immediately. We’ll wait right here.
Back? Cool. Here are some tissues and ice cream, and yes, that is REM’s “Everybody Hurts” playing in the background.
