Team-ups are one of the cornerstones of this medium that we all love. Whether that team-up happens between father and son, hero and sidekick or vigilante and villain, exploring these relationships can push open new doors of storytelling and adventures. Let’s explore that theme in all of these DC collected editions that you should pick up this month.
Alright, we've got a lot to get through this week, Legends fans, but before we can do anything, we have to acknowledge the most important thing to happen this week.
How cute was baby Ray?!?!
Oh my god. We've run into child versions of the team before, of course, but this one? This one. What a precious little nerd with great taste in classic movies.
...And listen, if I'm being totally honest here, baby Gumball was pretty cute too, in a horror movie kind of way.
When Supergirl first debuted only three short years ago, it was a massive deal. To have the Girl of Steel be the debut female-led live action show under the #DCTV umbrella sounded across the zeitgeist in a way that heralded not only how remarkable a character Kara Zor-El is, but how much her type of story was needed in our mass-media marketplace. A couple short years later, Wonder Woman echoed this impact cinematically. In a lot of ways, Supergirl’s status as an icon rose to a new level with the debut of her television show.
Try not to get too emotional over this one. We don’t think Raven would approve.

Today, at New York Comic Con, DC Publisher Jim Lee, writer/producer/director Reginald Hudlin and Milestone co-founder and artist Denys Cowan announced the return of popular characters of the Dakota Universe in a new collaboration called Earth M in spring 2018.
During DC’s kick off “Meet the Publishers” panel at New York Comic Con today, Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee announced there will be a star-studded celebration to commemorate the 1000th issue of ACTION COMICS, the longest running and first-ever superhero comic to reach 1000! The Publishers also revealed a new commemorative logo for the celebration.
In March 2018, DC will publish several special titles to honor the milestone:
Legacy is an important word in the DC Universe. From the very first time that Barry Allen put on that red spandex, he was stepping into the legacy of Jay Garrick. Many characters can handle the responsibility and some can’t. This month all the DC collected editions that I suggest you pick up, have one thing in common: Legacy.
Batman Day is this Saturday, which means all week long we’ll be celebrating the Dark Knight (and Gotham’s maid of mischief, Harley Quinn) here on DCComics.com. But that’s not all. We’re also celebrating his fans.
