Has it been a year already? 2017 has reached its end, but before we dive into 2018, we’d like to take a moment and look back. For DC fans, 2017 was a remarkable year in comics, film and TV. Our characters reached new milestones and audiences, our writers and artists achieved remarkable new heights and our universe continued to grow in surprising new ways. And yet, within it all, several moments stood out for their importance and relevance. Some of them were groundbreaking, others were a welcome return. All of them are worthy of acknowledgement and celebration.

VERTIGO AND DC'S YOUNG ANIMAL ANNOUNCE COMPELLING NEW SERIES AT NYCC

The Vertigo/DC’s Young Animal panel at New York Comic Con today brought exciting news for each of the imprints. Mark Doyle, Executive Editor overseeing these lines, spoke with some of the incredible talent behind current series and introduced new creators to the fans.

Vertigo writers John Ridley (THE AMERICAN WAY: THOSE ABOVE AND THOSE BELOW) and Tim Seeley (IMAGINARY FIENDS) shared new details about their series, while creative teams Si Spurrier & Rachael Stott and Joshua Williamson & Riley Rossmo announced their projects being released this winter.

DC AND WARNER BROS. RECORDS TO COLLABORATE ON SOUNDTRACK FOR DARK NIGHTS: METAL

Fans of both rock music and comic books received a double shot of awesome at New York Comic Con today as DC Entertainment announced an upcoming collaboration with Warner Bros. Records to produce a soundtrack featuring songs inspired by DARK NIGHTS: METAL, this year’s blockbuster comic book event reuniting the best-selling BATMAN talent team of writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo.

The wondrous Diana of Themyscira comes face to face with the Cimmerian barbarian Conan in a new miniseries this fall—WONDER WOMAN/CONAN. DC and Dark Horse have teamed up for a crossover of epic proportions, bringing back fan-favorite WONDER WOMAN writer Gail Simone and WONDER WOMAN artist Aaron Lopresti for an adventure unlike anything seen before—a collision of legends.

New Artwork, Variant Covers for Justice League of America January One-Shots!

Before Batman takes over a new Justice League of America in February 2017, some of its core members will get their chance in the spotlight in January, in the form of four JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: REBIRTH one-shots. These stories reintroduce these heroes for the first time in the REBIRTH era, featuring input from DC President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, and we’ve got some new artwork to end (or kick off) your week!
