As the world’s strongest, most powerful super hero, Superman’s adventures tend to be very large in scale.

Heck, that’s putting it mildly. They’re massive. Epic. So big that they give every inch of your retinas a workout. However, usually the art’s limited to what can fit in a panel or occasional splash page.

Not anymore. Feast your eyes on the gorgeously detailed two-sided, gatefold poster drawn by Jim Lee for the debut issue of Superman Unchained. Teased at this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim, this is the first time both sides of the fully finished poster have been seen anywhere.

Measuring a full 11.6875” x 18.875” in size, this poster isn’t just a pair of blockbuster images, it’s actually part of the story. But don’t worry. It’s also designed to be removed and displayed, allowing the first issue of Scott Snyder and Jim Lee’s new comic to live on after you’ve finished reading it.

We hope you enjoy this exclusive first look. Be sure to keep your eye right here on DCComics.com for more on Superman Unchained, and don’t forget to pick up the first issue in shops or online on Wednesday, June 12th.
