Divulging these secrets won't threaten the timeline.

Meeting a Wanted Man

Rip Hunter's parlor on the Waverider is the perfect place to examine for secrets. You never know what he's collected during his travels—there might be a wanted poster for a certain hat-wearing antihero who will appear on Legends later this season…

The Award Goes To...

The young Martin Stein is the opposite of humble. He points out he's a five-time winner of the Carlin Award. We get it. We're impressed. The probably prestigious award is also probably named after influential editor Mike Carlin. He began working for DC Comics as an intern in the seventies, but eventually moved on to becoming the Superman group editor, where he oversaw the legendary DEATH OF SUPERMAN storyline, and now works as part of their creative team overseeing animation.

Taking a Stroll Through Hallowed Halls

It's no surprise Martin Stein attended Ivy Town's Ivy Town University. In the comics, the school opened its doors to learning in 1885. The college is known as one of the leading scientific institutes in the United States and besides Stein, also names Ray Palmer as an alumnus.

A Dagger By a Different Name

Hawkman and Hawkgirl learn the dagger involved in their first death is one way to take down Vandal Savage. Hawkman has a connection to a dagger in comic books, too. It’s set up in his origin that was introduced in FLASH COMICS #1. In his days as Prince Khufu, the Egyptian priest Hath-Set killed him and Chay-Ara using a cursed Nth metal dagger. It was the metal, combined with Khufu and Chay-Ara's love, which created the bond that causes them to be reborn over and over. Khufu comes into contact with the dagger again in a later life when he's been reincarnated as Carter Hall. Touching the dagger brings the memories of his previous life back to Carter.
