CON AWAY FROM CON DAY TWO: What a Saturday! Jam-packed with excitement, information and surprises, the second day of WonderCon had something for everyone as we attended panels, asked creators what their midnight snack of choice was and continue talking to the wonderful, passionate fans that we have.

On the panel front, the day started with Batman, Swamp Thing and American Vampire writer Scott Snyder being put in the spotlight as he reflected on his career so far. That included anecdotes about working with Stephen King on the first American Vampire arc, getting a "So what would you do with Swamp Thing?" call from Geoff Johns in the middle of making dinner and how Batman is suddenly afraid of the Gotham City he thought he knew. As always Snyder turned the attention back to the fans and his gratefulness for their support and enjoyment of his work. Don’t miss his Con Away From Con video moment with a special appearance from Len Wein.

Later in the day the DC Comics-The New 52 panel featured a plethora of creators as everyone from Scott Lobdell to Joshua Hale Fialkov to Kyle Higgins talked about what is coming up for the characters they're working on. Fans were treated to first looks at upcoming cover art and teases of future storylines on books like Batman, Incorporated, Suicide Squad, Earth 2 and many, many more. What's in store for Justice League International? And what will the DC Comics-The New 52 Free Comic Book Day edition tease for Green Lantern fans? Find out here.

The big event of the day came during the DC Comics: All Access Special Edition panel, where co-publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio were joined by Len Wein, J. Michael Straczynski and others to talk about this year's Before Watchmen. Jim Lee shared with those in the room - and those following along at home - a first look at his artwork for a variant cover to Nite Owl #1 and teased the “line up” common visual element that will run through all his variants for other Before Watchmen series.

At the DC Entertainment booth fans continued to line up throughout the days to get signatures and sketches from the creators attending WonderCon. And there were more lines for the green screen photo booth where people could have their picture taken with Jim Lee's We Can Be Heroes Justice League artwork, an action shot of the Justice League or the irrepressible Alfred E. Newman.

Fans either at the booth or at panels were also encouraged to support the We Can Be Heroes campaign to provide assistance to the people of the Horn of Africa who are living through the worst hunger crisis in 60 years. That support can come through online donations, the purchase of campaign merchandise or by text donation by sending "HEROES" to 80888, something many people have already done.

Finally on the We Can Be Heroes front we awarded the second signed poster to a lucky father and son waiting in line at the end of the day for a Jim Lee signing session.

That's it for day two at WonderCon 2012. Be sure to keep following us on both Twitter and Facebook for as much live-coverage as we can bring you straight from the show.
