CROSSING MIDNIGHT #1
Set in contemporary Nagasaki, CROSSING MIDNIGHT taps into Japanese and Korean horror to mix the mythology of The Sandman with the fantasy of films like Hayao's Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Together, Mike Carey and Jim Fern come up with flights of fantasy tethered to a reality where children are stolen, innocence corrupted, and where two teenagers will have to stare down bizarre beings capable of very visceral terrors.
CROSSING MIDNIGHT #3
Aratsu, the deadly kami of knives, returns for the third and last time to collect on the debt the Hara twins owe. But while Kai and Toshi are prepared to battle him to the death, the price they'll pay will be more terrible than they ever dreamed.
CROSSING MIDNIGHT #5
Part 2 of "Cut Here." During the conflict with Lord Aratsu, the twins' father Yasuo has been alternately absentee, distracted and anxious. Now, in his effort to save Toshi, Kai will be brought face-to-face with his father's deadly secret as well as the extreme world of urban violence and yakuza treachery.
